3. Exercise: Getting started with Android Studio

In this exercise you create an Android project and start it on an Android virtual device.

3.1. Welcome to the Android Studio.

This is the first step after installing the Android Studio. Given below is the screenshot for the same.

3.2. Create a new Android project.

Then it generates a new project. Name it as whatever you’re working on with it.

 

3.3. Targeted Android Devices.

After you name the project select the form factors in which your app will be running.

3.4. Adding the activity to the Mobile.

Select the basic activity to start up with the same.

3.5. Customize the Activity.

Finally customize the activity & click finish, it’s done.

3.6. Layout for the Android Studio.

Below shown is the environment for the Android Studio to start the Coding for the App.
